The founding story
In 2008, the co-founder of SourceDerm launched EDCskincare.com — one of the first authorized online skincare retailers in the US. Over 15 years and 150+ brand partnerships, he watched the grey market grow from a nuisance into a genuine consumer health threat.
Fake SkinCeuticals. Diverted EltaMD. Amazon listings selling products at 30% below MSRP with no way for consumers to know they were buying from an unauthorized seller. The brands knew. The authorized retailers knew. Nobody told the consumer.
SourceDerm was built to close that information gap.
Why this matters
Premium skincare is a high-stakes purchase. A $200 vitamin C serum applied to your face should be what the label says it is. Stored properly. Unexpired. Authentic. When you buy from an unauthorized seller you lose those guarantees.
